Religious fanatics operate within an echo
chamber. They read their sacred writings which tell them to believe they are
true because they claim to be true. They listen to their rabbis or priests or
preachers or mullahs who tell them that their sacred writings are true because
those writings say they are true. They listen to their fellow believers who
claim that their sacred writings are true because their rabbis or priests or
preachers or mullahs say they are true. But they don't critically examine those
writings to find out for themselves whether they are true or not.
Of course it helps to propagate a religion if heretics and infidels are stoned to death or burned at the stake or beheaded, their writings destroyed and their property confiscated for the glory of a loving and merciful god.

Yeah Yeah before they were ABC Del Cafe and another name I mentioned earlier but forgot.Oh yeah they were 'Expresarte'.They must be pals with the other phony 'christian' from Monroe,Loiusiana whose brother is another 'christian pastor' or 'shepard' as these low life scum call themselves for tax purposes who apparently had to leave Louisiana over sum scandal and settle in Austin. He says he was living in El Salvador when the CIA's terrorists were killing priests and raping nuns. These are all part of the right wing religious tax write off folks who followed the CIA's Central American wars and converted Catholics to protestants for them in the 1980's and elected a fascist 'christian' fundamentalist here(Jorge Antonio Serrano Elías) in the early 1990's who later staged a coup to buy time to sack and loot Guatemala government coffers before seeking exile in Panama with his race horses. So what else is new? This same immoral minority also like Israel and the CIA has much to do with Mayan massacxres in the 1980's.
WHEN I VACATED THE SITE IT WAS UNDER THE VERBAL UNDERSTANDING THAT THE LANDLADY HAD A CLIENT WHO RAN A TOURIST OFFICE AND SO WE WERE QUITE SURPRISED TO FIND THESE UNETHICAL PEOPLE POSING AS 'CHRISTIANS'(HA),HAD THE POOR ETHICS TO BUY OUR PAST OR TRY TO FOR THEIR PERSONAL BENEFIT ALL THE WHILE PRETENDING ALL THE GOOD THINGS THEY DO.
Strange that they would offer take something belonging to me under the guise of seeing that I received the pataxte(Theobroma bicolor) shells I was saving to make chocolate drinikng cups, mugs, containers etc., along with seeds for planting and then simply to have thrown them away instead.I still have no idea why they offered to take them in the first place thus obviously guaranteeing they would never reach me.Only a couple of days ago a Guatemalan came in and said he'd asked the GuateJava where he could find me and they wouldn't tell him ! And yet they took my pataxte shells under the guise of keeping them for me !? To me those pataxte(Theobroma bicolor)shells were-are like a ancient Mayan atifact. They probably were used as drinking vessels at one time. Now besides a very few old women who continue a dying tradition of making a drink called 'tiste', that is simply ground seeds with corn and water,in one little department of Guatemala called Suchitepequez on the Pacific coastal plain it is totally unknown elsewhere.I was the only person who on finding it in our cacao beans to speculate that it could make a 'whiole bean' white chocolate rather than simply convenrtional white chocolate made with cocoa butter sugar and milk.So when I discovered how greedy and ignorant these cxon artists posing as christianhjs really were and how disrespectfull to a Mayan historic plant they had certainly never even seen before because it is becoming extinxt I was depressed and outraged. Here's a link to my original investigation into the properties of the seed.:

Gabor and Candy source their coffee from all over Guatemala, identifying small coffee farmers that are struggling to survive in a global market. Introducing techniques and practices to revitalize their plants, Gabor and Candy also offer relationship as they come along the families as partners and mentors. They share their faith as they commit to walking beside a family as they lift themselves out of poverty. This partnership is beneficial for the farmers, the local economy, and provides an amazing coffee experience for anyone that walks into the door of Guatejava, or orders their product online.
Afterwards I had two separate experiences that illustrated their approach of sharing faith through relationship: a weekly business meeting, and a discussion of how the lives of their employees are changed as they learn the values of the GuateJava family. It's so much more than a business, the Siklosi's are investing into families surrounding Antigua, providing stable employment, discipleship, and compassion..........

What if the Pastor Followed You Around? | GuateJava
All photos credit: Candy Siklosi |
As the campus pastor of a multi-cultural, English-speaking, post-modern, American-Style church on the outskirts of Guatemala City I often seek advice from those who are native of this area. This past week I received some advice that I needed to invest more relationally with our team leaders. It was well timed feedback because I had been challenged by the notion in my own devotionals.
Added to this my recent resignation from the Christian American School, of which I remain a devoted advocate, I find that I have some time at hand to utilize. After some additional consultation with a couple of my mentors, I decided to reach out to our team leaders and simply devote to each of them a single day.
No agenda. No talking points. No expectations. Just a shared day, me tagging along like a shadow, walking beside them in a day of their life. After a quick email, I had my first two appointments. This is the first of those encounters: Gabor and Candy Siklosi, Journey Church Volunteers, Founders and directors of Global Community Works & GuateJava.
My day began in Gabor's office at Christian Academy of Guatemala where he serves as Chaplain and teacher. He was wrapping up a discipleship curriculum for the school, emailing it out to his team. From there we loaded up in his SUV, picked up Candy from their nearby residence, and began the high altitude, winding Pan-American Highway drive to Antigua.
We parked along the ancient street, still cobblestone like it was five-hundred years ago, when the city was the capital of a nation. A short walk along the colorful streets, rich with sights, sounds, and wonderful smells of international restaurants led us to the corner shop of GuateJava Roastery.
I was excited to be part of a "Cupping" experience for potential international clients. Guatejava warehouses coffee in the US and can roast and ship by the order. The roaster was heating up and the air filled with an aromatic burst that reminded me of holiday baking, family, and soul-warming comfort. It was the smell of Guatejava Coffee.

As the roaster turned, beans popped, and steam burst from the hopper, we tasted different blends of regional coffee that filled the air with hints of chocolate and goodness.

All in all, it was a pretty incredible day for this pastor who needs to improve his relationships with volunteers. I learned several things today: the Siklosi's are dear friends, they have a powerful vision, they are very effective, and their coffee is ridiculously good.

They killed homosexuals didn't they?,
Or at least that's what the Bible says anyway,
And God it says took Onan's life,
Because he wouldn't have sex with his dead brother's wife,
God being strictly "right to life,
But Lot of Sodom and Gomorrah fame,
At least knew how to play God's game,
While his wife turned to salt as God murdered her friends,
Lot was busy watching his daughters rear ends,
And saying his amens,
The Bible says they got him drunk and raped him,
Thus more babies they did make them,
And that's how God saved him,
We know not exactly what sins against
God the wicked Sodomites had done,
But to judge from Lot incest wasn't one,
And of course there's wise King Solomon,
Who took numbers of wives to increase his own reproduction,
While to house them he cut the cedars of Lebanon,
So much for wise King Solomon,
Might as well trust in Allah man,
So they took their women to bed,
And to more little tribesmen this surely led,
Who beat other tribesmen over the head,
And then took their women to bed,
Like this the population continued to grow,
While civilizations would come and civilizations would go,
Thanks to Judeo - Christian - Muslim views of life,
Women knew nothing but reproductive strife,
And men knew nothing but killing,
Of which they were so able and willing,
But now our own reproductions,
Threaten the biosphere's functions,
The old ways no longer apply,
We can't even afford an eye for an eye,
Let alone to go out and multiply,
And if we continue to over reproduce as a species - we die,
If the laws of God and the biosphere are one,
Better to read the soil and celebrate the sun,
Than to thump the Bible and defend the gun,
Those who would not in pornography traffic,
Had better take the Bible and pack it
So far that the kiddies can't see it,
Lest there's the danger that they just might read it,
